Peng Femme Jam (PFJ) is a grass-roots community platform that was born as a reaction to the male-dominated music/jam scene in London, and designed as a gender-diverse live improvised event. We create an inclusive space for women, queer and trans global majority musicians to push the boundaries of their music, challenge their creativity and improvise with different genres, instruments and musical styles. Twice a month, we invite five-musicians/artists/instrumentalists to host a jam, and they are paid a fair wage and lead in the improvisation, creativity and development of music on the night, with our support as event producers.
