Vincent Giampino è coreografo e performer basato a Roma.

A bow can be a greeting, a farewell, a surrender. In schau, Vincent Giampino takes this gesture and repeats it until it is transformed: what initially appears familiar becomes ambiguous, challenging the relationship between the viewer and the viewed. In stellen, body, language and space fragment, while the stage itself becomes an active element of the performance. Together, schau and stellen make up Umlaut, a work that reflects on repetition and the power of the stage, exploring theatre as a space of relation, tension and the transformation of reality.
Vincent Giampino is a choreography-maker and performer based in Rome. His research revolves around a system of 'choreographic poverty' — a light bodily object, stupidly abandoned to simplicity, which unlearns the display of itself. Trained in Italy, Germany and the Netherlands, he graduated in choreography from the SNDO in Amsterdam. Among his recent works: UMLAUT and its derivations SCHAU and STELLEN. In 2017 he was a finalist at the Prix Jardin d'Europe at Impulstanz (Vienna).
