Description

**Have you been trying to find where you fit in? Look no further. You’ve found ‘Femmes To The Front’, Liverpool’s new women-led improvised jazz, soul and R&B jam.**

If you’re 14-25 (or any age!) and play an instrument, produce beats, write songs in your bedroom or want to get better by playing with other musicians, this is your space.

Centred on young women, trans, non-binary and gender-diverse musicians, ‘Femmes To The Front’ is a space to play, experiment, make mistakes, build confidence and thrive together.

This jam is open to anyone who plays keys, bass, drums, guitar, horns, percussion, sings, writes songs or makes beats. Bring your instrument and your ideas and jump in. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been playing for ten years or you’re just beginning, this is about showing up, seeing each other and growing together.

Created in partnership with Rough Trade, Tomorrow’s Warriors, Believe and Sound! Music Hub, the ‘Femmes To The Front’ community will also have opportunities to meet inspiring artists, hear from music industry professionals and learn about careers in performance, production, songwriting, publishing and beyond.

We’re building the kind of musical community we wish we’d had growing up; One that’s ambitious, welcoming, collaborative and rooted in the belief that the future of Liverpool’s music scene should make us all feel seen.

Bring your instrument. Bring your ideas. Meet your people. Join us!
