Club BrinksMat

Club Brinksmat, in association with Strummerville Presents, is a night of live music built around independent artists — established names, returning ones, and acts worth catching early.

Headlining are Sleaze, the South London five-piece who call their sound “Post Pub Kebab Shop Glam Rock”. Fronted by Penge-born Dave Ashby, they’ve come up through the scene that produced Fat White Family, Warmduscher and Fat Dog, played three Glastonbury stages last year, and soundtracked Lena Dunham’s Netflix series Too Much with Push Tuck and Daffodils.

The night also marks Them Nudes’ first EP in 20 years. The London four-piece last put out music while sharing bills with Jamie T, Florence and the Machine, Maccabees and Dirty Pretty Things. New tracks include South London Fairytale and Love Song for the Boys.

Special guest Danny Onions (The Meat and Onions Gang) plays his first show in six years. Opening is Brave New Broken Hearts Club, the vehicle for songwriter-producer Neil Phillimore. Hosted by Just Dennis, with DJ sets from Mauro (Some Weird Sin) and Danny Rice.

Doors 7pm, live music from 7:30pm. A portion of proceeds goes to Euston Food Bank.
