Concrete Vehicles

Concrete Vehicles are a seven-piece from Vancouver, British Columbia, and one of the most thrillingly chaotic propositions in contemporary Canadian rock. They began as a recording project between lifelong friends Hudson Schelesny and Ben Lock — two people making music too sprawling and complex to contain, let alone perform live. So they didn't try to contain it. They expanded.

What is now a fully formed seven-piece — guitars, saxophone, synths, percussion, voices — Concrete Vehicles have built a sound that embraces rather than resolves its own contradictions. Songs shift and mutate across their runtime, driven by the improvisational energy of the live show and a collective refusal to settle for the obvious arrangement. The goal, as they've put it, is music that is visual and cathartic — that holds your attention for the full duration and earns it.
