Led by vocalist Unnati Dasgupta and pianist Alex Wilson, The Indo Latin Project brings together two rich musical traditions—the devotional music of India and the vibrant rhythmic language of Latin jazz. Journeying from ancient mantra chants and Sufi songs to Unnati's original compositions, the ensemble seamlessly weaves the sacred and the contemporary into a deeply expressive musical experience. Expect an evening that is intimate, adventurous and quietly transporting.
Pianist, composer, arranger, producer and Jazz FM presenter Alex Wilson is a dual Swiss-British artist with Grammy-nominated credits. Having performed in more than 60 countries, he has released ten albums under his own name. A winner of the BBC Rising Jazz Star Award and the LUKAS Award for Jazz in Europe, Alex has collaborated with internationally renowned artists including Wynton Marsalis, Rodrigo y Gabriela and Ernest Ranglin.
Joining them are two outstanding musicians: Hanif Khan on tabla and Guy Courtie on drums and keyboards.
Don't miss this unforgettable evening of music, where Indian devotional traditions meet the passion and energy of Latin jazz in a unique and inspiring performance.
