Rex Orange County

Alex O’Connor, also known as Rex Orange County, is a multi-platinum singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer who has amassed 9+ billion career streams to date.

He launched his career at just 16 with his self-released debut album, bcos u will nver b free. This early project caught the attention of Tyler, The Creator, leading to Rex featuring on two tracks for Tyler’s 2017 album, Flower Boy. Rex maintained his momentum by self-releasing his second album, Apricot Princess, later that same year.

He continued to build his discography with his third album, Pony, and his fourth, WHO CARES?, which charted at Number 1 in the UK and featured a musical reunion with Tyler, The Creator. In 2024, he released his fifth album, The Alexander Technique, highlighted by a collaboration with artist and producer James Blake.

Beyond his solo albums, Rex has remained highly active through a series of collaborations. In October 2024, he collaborated with Ravyn Lenae on the remix of her viral hit Love Me Not, which has since amassed over 310 million streams and was nominated for a VMA for Song of the Summer.

The beginning of 2025 saw Rex’s original song Love & Obsession feature in the Sundance-premiered film Lurker, directed by Alex Russell and scored by Kenny Beats.

In February 2025, Rex collaborated with Daniel Caesar on two tracks, Rearrange My World and There’s A Field (That’s Only Yours). The latter was co-written alongside Mustafa and Dev Hynes (Blood Orange) and produced by Rex, Caesar and Mustafa. He also released the Pharrell Williams-produced single Take A Drive in September.

2026 sees Rex reunited with Daniel Caesar for their new song, Indecision.
