Written over several years and shaped by profound personal upheaval, the record finds Taylor expanding the signature elements of her work — bell-like piano, sweeping strings, and intimate lyricism — into something more nuanced, expansive, and ultimately life-affirming. Recorded between her California home studio and ARC Studios in Omaha, Story’s End features collaborations with Mike Mogis, Ben Brodin, Brad Armstrong, Conor Oberst, Nate Walcott, and others.
