Hinako Omori

Red Sun Moon are excited to present Hinako Omori for the launch party of a new series of special gigs in our live room.

The series will bring artists into the space for close, intimate shows, starting with Omori, a Japanese composer, musician and producer based in London.

Her music brings together analogue synths, processed voice and field recordings alongside classical arrangement. Likening her process to painting or weaving, she layers, melds and merges textures and sound sources to quilt her uniquely enveloping compositions. Across her albums "a journey..." and "stillness, softness...", she explores the emotional and physical effects of sound, inviting the listener to turn inwards.

Hinako has performed internationally at venues and festivals including Southbank Centre, ICA, Volksbühne, Pitchfork London and SXSW, and has supported Anna von Hausswolff, William Basinski, Ichiko Aoba, L’Rain and Beth Orton.

A rare chance to hear her share some new music in a close setting, with special guests to be announced.

Support comes from Hornet. Hornet is a music lady from New Jersey making fun beats in her bedroom. She will one day take over the world with a children's choir and marching band following behind her. She's most notably played Creepy Teepee this year, and is releasing her 3rd EP 'Playground Rock' this October.
