ORII REBIRTH | SISTER MIDNIGHT TAKEOVER #oriieast

**Sister Midnight** is an soon-to-be community-owned music venue and existing radio station based in Catford. They’re on a mission to elevate artists around Lewisham and become a creative hub for all across SE London.

Everything they do is driven by their belief in the power of music to uplift, unite and affect positive change. By working at a grassroots level and always democratically, they hope to make this a space for belonging, solidarity and experimentation.

We're fusing our communities together, family style, showcasing Sister Midnight artists and radio residents, and building on our existing educational partnership bringing jam workshops to schools across Hackney and Lewisham.

**Five years of jamming, every single week.**

*It’s been beautiful, transformative, and we're so proud of what we've built together. But right now, grassroots music in London is fighting a significant cultural current.*

ORII was created to serve and uplift the artist community. Right now, running two weekly jams no longer serves us or you the way it used to. To protect our community, the spirit of ORII, and ensure everyone is properly paid, valued, and respected, we are initiating the ORII REBIRTH.

Starting July 6th, we are transitioning to 4 landmark events per month:

**✨ Week 1: ORII EAST + ORII SOUTH (OG Jam & Open Mic)**

**✨ Week 3: ORII EAST + ORII SOUTH (Special Event, Themed & Takeovers)**

We are working to make ORII more intentional, higher value, and sustainable for the next generation of London's creative community.
