The Kitchen Sink Band // Cass Why

**SHAKE THE HIGH ROAD** presents two of the most exciting new bands around for a killer double bill, both bringing incredible visceral live energy to **ALTAR**.

**The Kitchen Sink Band** released one of the best songs of the 2026 so far, the relentless motorik energy of 'The Human Can Opener'. This is set to be an incredible debut set on the heavy ALTAR soundsystem - think elements of Working Men's Club, Warmduscher, and Fat White Family with pulsing electronic basslines. "One man’s Kitchen Sink, is another man’s synthesiser!"

**Cass Why** is a thrilling new South London talent with a raw songwriting style that will connect with any King Krule or Jamie T fans. Luke started making beats and demos under the moniker Cass Why in 2024 on a half-broken laptop in his bedroom in South East London. Inspired by British counter-culture, Cass champions DIY sensibilities, drawing from an eclectic mix of influences and genres, merging into a unique cacophony of jangly guitars, scrapbook beats and kitchen sinkstorytelling.
