Description

Hastings born singer-songwriter Poppy Prescott draws any crowd to silence with her soft soulful vocals and folk-style storytelling.

Growing up surrounded by musicians, Poppy begun performing live long before she was allowed to be hanging around music venues. Fast forward, some of her highlights include headline performances at The Troubadour London (Sold out), Pizza Express Jazz Club Holborn & Printworks Hastings, as well as festival slots at WOMAD, Hastings Fat Tuesday and support slots for Keane & Barbara Dickson.

Alongside her folk guitar playing, informed by Adrianne Lenker and Nick Drake, are eclectic accompaniments for fans of Radiohead and Sam Amidon. She's accompanied on stage by an exceptional band of collaborators Dan McConkey (saxophone), Myra Brownbridge (double bass), Keir Tyson (guitar), Liam Talbot (keys) & Josh Walker-Martin (drums).

Two self-written and released EPs later - both played on BBC Radio 6 - she's writing new material and playing around the UK having the time of her life.

Meg Bird is a singer songwriter based between London and sunny Margate. Having studied jazz at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Meg likes to explore the limits of different genres. Her songs sit within the spectrum of jazz, folk, and everything in between, creating a soothing and warm atmosphere that will warm the cockles of your heart. Meg is lucky to have played in venues across the UK, including some of London’s most celebrated venues, including Pizza Express Soho and Dalston Curve Garden. Meg has also released music to critical acclaim, receiving radio plays on Jazz FM and BBC Radio 3. Meg’s next full EP, titled ‘Of Hope’ is due for release in October 2024. London End Near is formed of Nicholas Hann and Tomyr Warcaba-Wood. The two became friends whilst studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Their melancholy folk pop sound comes from their shared love of John Prine, Labi Siffre and Don McLean. Nicholas and Tomyr live many lives. Tomyr is also a church organist; Nicholas is also a saxophonist and clarinetist. Their broad love of music results in songs with surprising form and instrumentation.
