CHERISE-She’s a Soul Girl at heart with a bold, punky attitude. Quickly building her fan base with hermusic and fresh personality, she was named by Clash magazine as 'one of the women raising the barfor Souland Jazz in the UK'. CHERISE is one of the most sought after emerging young Soul singers andsongwriters in the UK, hitting the ground running in 2021 with her EP‘Remedy’,with 4 timelesssongs that showcaseher songwriting and rich versatile vocal tone and range.Her talent has been recognised by some of the most respected Artists in Soul and Jazz as a rising staron the UK music scene. CHERISE has collaborated with artists including Steam Down, Rueban James,Omarand Nubiyan Twist. In 2021 Gregory Porter, invited her to sing alongside him for the 2021Disney Christmas animation and worldwide campaign. In 2022, CHERISE was also chosen to open forMichael Kiwanuka atL’Olympia, Paris and Colisée de Roubaix in Lille and Jamie Callum for his Spring /Summer European tour. This summer, Cherise will beopening the main stage at Cross the TracksFestival and will be performing atLove Supreme (UK) & Elbjazz Festival in Hamburg.Cherise has developed her diverse musicality out of the UK Jazz Scene and the legendary Jazz talentdevelopers Tomorrow’s Warriors. Cherise is on a similar trajectory for success as so many of herpeers andfriends, including Femi Koleoso (Ezra Collective, The Gorillaz), Oscar Jerome, PoppyAdjuda, Tom Misch, Yussef Dayes, Nubya Garcia, Steam Down to name a few and her version oftheNorah Jones classic‘Sunrise’is featured on the 2022‘Blue:Note Reimagined II’on Decca featuringartists including SWINDLE, Theon Cross and Reuben James.2023 sees the release of Cherise’s debut album‘Calling’,out on 7th July.
