Returning to their home city for what will be their first live appearance since 2021, the original Acid House innovators will be marking 35 years since the release of their seminal album ‘90’ by performing the album in its completion and with a full live set-up.
In a second set titled ‘Great Transmissions’, the Graham Massey fronted band will also be reminding audiences of the classic singles and explorative curiosities that have defined a pioneering career in music that has spanned across four decades. Alongside deep cuts from the back catalogue, fans can also expect an exclusive first glimpse into some brand new 808 State material.
Of the show, Graham says:
“808 State have been invited to perform our classic album “90” in sequence at the New Century Hall Manchester this December 2024 on the 35th anniversary of its release.
In addition we will play a secondary set of tunes from the archive and some new material. We are delighted to have guests “Elf Traps “on the bill for this special evening. This is 808 State”s return to New Century Hall having played it as an acid house allnighter 36 years earlier - Rave On!”
