We're excited to announce an exclusive live show with German singer-songwriter Tilman Claas and his band project LAMPE at Rough Trade Berlin. Their new album 'Prima' is released the week before the show, so come down and have a listen!
This is the name of the band and solo project of singer-songwriter Tilman Claas. Whether solo or as an implied band in a duo constellation, the Essen-born singer and songwriter has been singing and writing his way into the hearts of all friends of good entertainment since 2016, always succeeding in transforming very personal stories into unpretentious, three-minute lo-fi pop songs, illuminating a world full of humor, sadness and contradictions. The sound is quite unconventional, and to say that the lyrics are funny would be an understatement - the breaks towards melancholy are too subtle.
You laugh, think, want to cry and laugh again. At the end of an evening with Lampe, the only question that remains is: “Why aren't they much more famous already?” The first new Lampe single after the pandemic "Immer muss ich alles allein machen" addresses the eternal annoyance of loneliness on all levels in an almost hypnotic bedroom world hit.
As the anti-thesis of a polished, high-gloss pop production, the album contains almost 13 songs with a lot of potential and after three long, dark years, it's finally “lights out, Lampe on!” on the stages of this world again.
Presented by Rough Trade Europe.
