Joe Kirby is a composer who takes inspiration from his surroundings. He infuses field recordings from places he visits into live performances and releases. Following a break-out 2024, join Joe for his biggest show to date on January 23rd 2025 at Bush Hall.

Having completed a string of beautiful live shows in 2024 (St Matthias Church, St Pancras Clock Tower, Coach House Pianos + Burgh House), Joe will be joined by his beautiful orchestera at this majestic immersive West London venue.

Joe Kirby's journey into composition took root during his studies in Brighton, where he honed his skills before venturing into the expanse of Australia, immersing himself in the outback, absorbing new textures and atmospheres that would later find a home in his music. These experiences coalesced into the acclaimed album The Great Ocean Road earning accolades from both the production and pianist communities.

Joe then delved into the realms of television and film composition, making his mark on BBC 1, ITV 1, and BBC Sounds mixes. His musical prowess caught the attention of Universal Music Group's Abbey Road Masters, leading him to compose and perform an album at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London, collaborating with the London Contemporary Orchestra for the strings section.
