A Winter Union

***Five leading lights of the British roots music scene return to Kings Place for a seasonal treat. Expect soaring harmonies and exquisite musicianship through a repertoire of brand new, specially written songs, fresh arrangements of traditional carols and seasonal classics from both sides of the Atlantic.***

Following some early personnel changes, the band’s current line-up has been settled since 2017, and their friendship and mutual admiration give the band comfort and confidence that shines throughout their live shows. “We’ve long looked upon our December tour as a kind of month-long Christmas party”, says Ben Savage, “There’s always such a brilliant feeling in the room at gigs around that time of year and we just feed on it… ”

A Winter Union give nods to both British and American folk traditions, playing a jubilant mix of carols, wassails and winter songs both old and new to entertain and entrance audiences across the UK. Whilst there is no shortage of Christmas party here, there are plenty of moments for reflection and poignancy. Bring the whole family, or come for the work bash!
