Blue Violet

Blue Violet are alternative indie band fronted by Sarah McGrigor & Sam Gotley. Their debut album ‘Late Night Calls’ was released in April 2022, produced by Rob Ellis (PJ Harvey, Anna Calvi). Debut single ‘Undercover’ was BBC Radio Scotland’s record of the week, shortly before the band guest session'ed on the station. Follow-up ‘White Beaches’ was picked up by John Kennedy at Radio X & Steve Lamacq at BBC 6 Music who described them as ‘… a cocktail of Iain Banks and Jane Austen’.

Recently the band were invited to perform on stage with The Gaslight Anthem for three nights at the Camden Roundhouse and supported Kula Shaker, Tide Lines and the Last Internationale on their UK tours. Their forthcoming sophomore album, recorded in Bristol’s J&J studios with Bat For Lashes and Hannah Peel producer TJ Allen, explores rich electronic avenues and is a unified and sophisticated update of modern British alt pop, drifting from sizzling space disco to stunning, swirling cinematic vistas.
