Our Time Is Now!

Our Time Is Now! is a monthly Saturday afternoon party brought to you by Wah Wah 45s label boss and renowned DJ Dom Servini with special guests joining him for a session for dancers and sedentary music lovers alike, celebrating the music they love. Whether it's disco, dance floor jazz, Northern Soul or even a touch of bruk, house or hip hop, it's all fair game at this new open-minded session.

Think Dingwalls meets The Loft and you get the idea of what we are aspiring to!

Rise, at Goldsmiths Student Union, is the perfect venue for this bi-monthly meeting of minds, bodies and souls, with its gorgeous wooden dance floor, bespoke Funktion One sound system and not forgetting a very reasonably priced student bar!

Following on from our first year of hugely successful sessions, we kick off 2026 in style on Saturday January 31st, starting as usual at 1pm, and this time Dom is joined not only by very special guest DJs in the shape of a legend of both the jazz dance and soul / boogie scenes Perry Louis (Shiftless Shuffle) and South London institution, Handson Family, but also by Totally Wired Radio jazz stalwart Alan McKinnon (Invisible Joy) who'll be supplying some early doors vibrations for the dancers.

Rapchar will be returning with delicious Caribbean food all day long, as will Matt from When Spaceships Appear, touching down with another stall of tasty obscure vinyl.

Entry is just £7 in advance / before 4pm / more after, £3 for NUS and kids are free before 7pm.
