It didn’t start with you, but it shaped you. The concept of inherited or intergenerational trauma is a fascinating and complex area of study in psychology. Research has shown that experiences from previous generations can have a lasting physical and psychological impact on individuals up to three generations down the line. This phenomenon can occur within families as well as across broader group experiences, such as societal events like wars or significant losses. By uncovering and exploring this intergenerational transmission of trauma, you will gain insights into the origins of your struggles and realise that they are not solely your own fault.
In this talk, we will explore the science behind intergenerational trauma and provide valuable insights on how to integrate this understanding into your personal journeys. By acknowledging the impact of inherited trauma and recognising its presence in your lives, you can begin to navigate your struggles with greater compassion and self-awareness.
**Doors open at 7pm, talk starts at 7.30pm**
