Habibi Funk Records throws their first party of 2025 alongside the selectors Algerian Vinyl and Distant Rhythm, this time in the historic Shoreditch setting of Village Underground,
Habibi Funk focuses on re-releasing eclectic sounds ranging from Arabic disco, funk to reggae and more from across the decades. As seen on past Boiler Rooms, Habibi Funk DJ sets effortlessly switch between genres and decades. From Libyan reggae to Sudanese jazz, all the way to Egyptian disco and Lebanese boogie.
The label has invited Mounira Zerkine of the incredible “Algerian Vinyl” project to play records from her collection, plus the head of emerging South London online record store, collector and curator Distant Rhythm, both of whom will perform alongside Habibi Funk’s head honcho on the night.
