Big Fear + Special Guests. Big Fear's London debut show celebrating the release of their first single Culture Cannibal.
**BIG FEAR**
Big Fear—like Big Pharma, Big Tech, Big Dick—is a vaguely menacing and all-encompassing boogeyman; a reckoning with fear itself. Formed by Alice Edwards (lead vocals), Jack Wilkinson (guitar) and Ben Crone (synth), the London trio explores the point where terror curdles into apathy. Self-reflexively dystopian and operatic, Big Fears’ songs are synth-throbbing generational anthems served with an almost ironic pomp.
Sardonic and coolly disaffected, Edwards—the person responsible for that crab line—is the apt narrator to our technologically numbed, environmentally fucked age. They straddle the points between hope and doom, productivity and ineffectiveness; intimacy and repulsion. Somewhere between FKA twigs’ decadent sensuality and Kate Bush’s oddball theatricality, Edwards sings with a first-in-class command, setting themselves apart from the crowded London scene.
Presented by Big Fear.
