Two all girl bands, one mission: to rock the pants off Hastings this April.
TWAT UNION
Theatrical-feminist-punk-pop 6 piece Twat Union are known for their wild, immersive gigs and trademark provocative humour. The Twats don’t shy away from topics including thigh chafe, urinary tract infections and people assuming you don’t know how to tune a guitar because you’re a woman (FFS). Following in the footsteps of riot grrrl punks before them, their music is loud, heavy and catchy - you’ll be singing along by the second chorus.
After a string of sold out gigs before releasing any music - and literally several people asking ‘when the \*\*\*\* are you going to put some music on the internet then?’ - their hotly anticipated debut EP will grace the airwaves this spring.
MESSAGE FROM THE RAVENS
Hailing from the wild and mystical town of Hastings, this witchy-folk-banshee-country band stems from sisterhood; united by their love of myths, magic and punk ethos. Recently championed by Tom Robinson, who introduced their debut single “Jupiters Tears” as “immense” on BBC RADIO 6, Message from the Ravens are rapidly catching the attention of those that cherish the sacred to the sinister.
Labelled “an explosion of female empowerment” (Hastings Online Times); and gaining the stamp of approval from
original riot girl Ella Guru of the Voodoo Queens; who stated “Message from the Ravens are the next generation of girl
power”.
