After six years of creative silence and intense self-discovery, Swedish post-rock musician **Albert af Ekenstam** returns on 14 March 2025 with his new album Ghost In Us via Welfare Sounds & Recordings. Known for his atmospheric, introspective indie sound and the mixture of post-rock guitar sounds and profound lyrics, Albert af Ekenstam's new longplayer shows a maturity characterised by personal challenges and a phase of new beginnings. Albert af Ekenstam not only processes past experiences with his music, but also finds the energy to step out of the darkness. The collaboration with producer Filip Leyman and artist Sumie Nagano brings additional depth to the sound and emphasises the artistic development that can be felt throughout the album.
**Elephant Kind** was formed in Mastro's bedroom in Perth, Australia over a decade ago, acting as an outlet to express himself creatively, a purely introspective project that was more for himself than anyone else before moving to Indonesia. Now in 2022, the band is a three piece with four projects to their name, hundreds of thousands of monthly listeners across the globe and a firmly cemented place as one of Indonesia's most beloved alternative outfits. Their fresh take on alternative indie has earned them critical recognition and acclaim both at home and globally, constantly building year on year as their worldwide ambition comes into fruition.
**Malou Lovis** grew up in a village in Münsterland, more precisely: ‘in a house with a garden and full of instruments, with three siblings and very cool parents’, as the 25-year-old explains. When Malou took a break from her social work studies for a few months to travel through Spain with her guitar, write songs and meet other musicians, she couldn't really imagine doing anything else with her life. Back in Germany, she applies for The Voice of Germany 2023 - and wins! Her coaches Bill and Tom Kaulitz are so impressed that they ask Malou live on camera in the final to accompany them on the next Tokio Hotel tour. The Cologne native impresses with her unagitated, open-minded and likeable manner as well as her warm, incredibly soulful voice and multi-layered lyrics.
