In this illustrated talk Patricia MacCormack will introduce the varied manifestations of lesbian vampires in ‘60s-’70s euro horror including the films of Franco, Larraz, Borowczyk, Grau and with special emphasis on the work of Jean Rollin, with whom the speaker was close friends until his death.
Talk starts 8.30pm
The talk will be followed by a screening of Jorg Grau's rare film Blood Ceremony/Ceremonia Sangrienta, a delirious dream mingling gory gothic with the Bathory tale. Grau, director of Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue, weaves a hypnotic tapestry of bloody desire.
