Distorted Frame in collaboration with the SciFrights podcast presents a celebration of the late David Lynch. The event will begin with a screening of Lynch’s final feature, Inland Empire (2006), which will be introduced by Dr Lindsay Hallam, lecturer, podcaster and author of the Devil’s Advocate book on Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. Shot entirely on consumer digital cameras, Inland Empire is Lynch in his rawest form, a 180-minute epic of pure Lynchian stream-of-consciousness starring Laura Dern in an astonishing performance.
Stay after the screening for a performance from ‘Roadhouse DJs’ Juna and Damo Alexander, who will be playing music selected from and inspired by Lynch and his films from 8pm. Join us for an evening that promises to be both wonderful and strange.
