2025 marks the 40th anniversary of Galahad who will be celebrating this particular milestone by playing a few select shows in the UK and Europe including a special extended show at the 1865 in Southampton which will also include several special guests!
Formed in 1985, Galahad are stalwarts of the UK and international ‘Prog’ scene. Over the years they have played hundreds of shows all over the UK, Europe and America releasing twelve studio albums, several rarity albums and numerous live albums/DVD’s/EPs
In 1991 the band won the BBC Radio One Rock War competition on Tommy Vance’s legendary ‘Friday Rock Show’ with the highest number of votes ever by any band.
In 2007 the band’s album ‘Empires Never Last’ was voted album of the year by the members of the ‘Classic Rock Society’.
The band have never been ones to rest on their laurels and have been constantly evolving over the years, always looking forwards but still maintaining nods to their ‘Progressive’ past.
In October 2023 they released their twelfth studio album ’The Long Goodbye’ which, amongst other things, tackled the deeply emotive subject of dementia to considerable critical acclaim.
