Kadavar: 'I Just Want To Be A Sound' Album Launch Gig

We're excited to announce an album release gig with Kadavar at Urban Spree on Saturday, 17th May in celebration of their brand new album 'I Just Want To Be A Sound' which will be released the day before the show.

PLEASE NOTE: Physical copies of 'I Just Want To Be A Sound' (available on white or black vinyl or CD) purchased as part of the show ticket bundle will be available for collection at Urban Spree on the night of the show.

“Make new!” - As they say in Berlin. With their seventh studio album, Kadavar catapult their sound into dewy new dimensions. No concepts, no pigeonholes, no boundaries: I Just Want To Be A Sound is a manifesto for freedom, transformation and radical presence. Now a foursome, with guitarist Jascha Kreft (Odd Couple) and supported by producer Max Rieger (Die Nerven), the Berlin band has created an album that leaves everything behind that is not music. A free fall into the eternal change of the Eternal Now.


'I Just Want To Be A Sound' is a musical ritual of transition. An album that repeatedly abandons itself in order to reincarnate in new forms. Rock anthem, ballad, pop song, epic and earthly alternate seamlessly and virtuously. Free and full of momentum. Lupus Lindemann performs like a trickster, announcing the affirmations he has received via his dedicated line to the top with cheerful composure. Always ready for the next costume change, he switches effortlessly between feminine and masculine, sublime and daring, vulnerable and powerful.


It is an euphoric declaration of love to the now as a place of unstoppable rebirth and regeneration. This is where sanity is lost, where feathers are shed, scars collected, fear endured, skinned over and over again, let go and fall in love again. Nothing can happen to you here, because everything happens here. When you become one with the moment, one with the sound.
