**POETRY MEETS pres.: VERSE//PULSE**
On May 14, Poetry Meets curates the XJAZZ Festival opening with a freshly conceptualized edition: VERSE//PULSE—where poetry, movement/dance, and music find common ground.
**Joy Alpuerto Ritter’s** dance pulses through the space. Contributing authors of Poetry Meets' upcoming anthology Togetherness, **Ihram Fazal** (Kenya) delivers powerful poetry, while **Elom 20ce** (Togo) blends rap and spoken word with raw intensity.
**Natcyet** (Sons of Kemet, Nala Sinephro, Cleo Sol) grounds the night with pulsating percussion building toward the acoustic soul of main act **Kersha Bailey.**
