Sunken
Having built a great reputation with two well received EPs and by playing scattered shows across the capital as well as a full UK and European tour in support of Melbourne's HighSchool, there's a real buzz around Sunken.
Spending time this summer with producer and close friend Ben Hillier (Blur, Depeche Mode, Nadine Shah) in his studio to refine their EP, Sunken are a band on the cusp of something fresh and singular. A five-piece from London whose atmospheric songs are rich in detail, akin in approach to adventurers such as Bar Italia, Maria Somerville and (untitled) Halo.
Their new EP, 10K, arrives April 3rd via London imprint Boxset Records. Throughout the spirited 6-track record, they tackle the psychology of success and all those powerful motivating factors. "10K is symbolic of any kind of achievement. "We wanted to call the EP 10K because it also feels malleable in the sense that you can equate it to whatever comes to mind.
Hank
One of the most exciting new bands around, Hank are the four piece of Lola Stephen (vocals, guitar), Charlie Read Clarke (vocals, guitar), Maddy O'Keefe (bass) and Ash Cooper (drums).
Having first built a name for themselves by playing shows across London, at a handful of festivals and by supporting the likes of Mannequin Pussy, Sorry, C Turtle, Ebbb, DEADLETTER, Been Stellar and Tapir!, Hank's recent debut EP Twist Grip brought the raw excitement of their live show to record.
