Description

A triple bill of Cafe OTO veterans from across Europe - as seen in the wire, quietus and the works of Adam Curtis!

Aidan Baker is a Canadian musician and writer currently based in Berlin, Germany. Baker makes music that encompasses ambient/experimental, krautrock and postpunk, jazz and contemporary classical.

Augustė Vickunaitė is a Berlin and Vilnius based sound experimentalist with a background in physics. Augustė exclusively employs vintage reel-to-reel tape recorders to play articulating diverse layers of recordings including found material, field recordings, voice, music instruments, objects, and the whole spectrum of malfunctions of decaying technology. Auguste specializes in tape music, noise, and collage music, known for her theatrical and darkly humorous approach, often exploiting errors of analog audio equipment.

Sulk Rooms is a pseudonym of Yorkshire based composer Thomas Ragsdale, the music of Sulk Rooms draws the link between euphoric electronica and smoke engulfed drones.

Slow-morphing textures sequence and cascade, encapsulating intimate moments of colliding sound amongst fluttering arpeggios and transcending synth builds.

A predominant soundtrack artist included in many of Adam Curtis’ groundbreaking BBC documentaries as well as scoring BBC true crime series, Netflix features and Prada commercials, Sulk Rooms is part of Domino Publishing’s prestigious composer roster.

Presented by The Holloway Norwich.
