Star Shaped presents... Prosecco Supernova – The Bottomless Britpop Brunch: with special guest Dave Rowntree (Blur)!
Legendary events team Star Shaped present the perfect daytime 90s daytime indie party solution to those who want to party like it's 1995 but still get home at a sensible hour!
We are joined by Britpop royalty Dave Rowntree of Blur for this special event. Celebrating the launch of his new photography book, with never seen before photos documenting the rise of Blur ‘No One You Know’, Dave will be live in conversation with journalist and author (and editor of said book!) Miranda Sawyer, whilst images from the book are shown on 4K screen. We may get some of the tour stories that couldn’t make the book…
No One You Know: Dave Rowntree’s Early Blur Photos reveals the drummer’s view of the band’s formative years and rise through the lens of his Olympus OM-10, portraying the Britpop legends of Rowntree alongside Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon and Alex James in all of the “excitement of a young band in their infancy, becoming a global concern” – showing a candid portrait of them behind the scenes and in their down time.
All this on top of the usual fun and dancefloor antics with the Star Shaped DJs. Think '90s indie club, with an early finish and an hour of bottomless drinks' Amazing, right? RIGHT.
