Quantic (DJ Set)

The producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist returns to Phonox on Friday 30 May.

From party-fuelled house beats to laidback hip-hop cuts, spiralling electronic productions to ambient slow jams; the diversity of Quantic’s musical talent is boundless.

His latest album, Dancing While Falling, showcases his signature blend of electronic, jazz, and downtempo influences, further solidifying his reputation as a pioneer in the genre.

A multiplex of influences has crafted his sound, with his origins in fuzzy jazz licks and dusty hip-hop beats intertwining with the sounds he experienced during his life in Colombia. The result was a string of hit releases encompassing unabashedly beautiful balladry shot through with languid surf guitar, pattering drums and tender vocals.
