**This August, the Kiezsalon visits Neukölln’s contemporary art centre KINDL, a former brewery known for its distinctive industrial architecture. On Friday, 8 August, we present Cork-based songwriter Elaine Howley and Highland bagpiper Erwan Keravec. We continue on Saturday with Ulla and Adriaan de Roover.**
The KINDL – Centre for Contemporary Art is located in a former brewery in Neukölln, established in the early 20th century. The building, which once housed the KINDL Brewery, retains much of its industrial character, including a 30-meter-tall tower and 600-square-meter glass-walled brewery hall. The site now hosts rotating art exhibitions and performances, serving as a prominent venue for contemporary art.
The Kiezsalon is a project by Digital in Berlin. Curated by Michael Rosen and funded by the Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion. Presented by The Wire and taz, die tageszeitung.
