Adrián de Alfonso + Split Apex

De Alfonso's work has been commissioned by institutions such as Deutschlandfunk Kultur, MACBA or the Thyssen-Bornemisza Foundation and has appeared in media such as The Wire, HBO or Red Bull Music Academy Radio, Cashmere Radio or Radio Alhara. De Alfonso has also performed at festivals/venues such as Cafe Oto, Le Guess Who?, KM28, Meakusma, Standards, CTM, Morphine Raum, South By Southwest, Cave12, Brelfest, hOtelier, Seanaps, Alice, Les Ateliers Claus, CentroCentro, Primavera Sound or Sonar.

Split Apex are Jussi Palmusaari (guitar, electronics and percussion) and Peter Blundell (voice and bass). On this release they combine restless sonic textures, oddball phrasing within barely-contained song structures held together by moth-woven threads. Seemingly governed by an unknowable gravitational pull that tugs hither and yon, the duo lays out their statement of intent through a brief suite of intimate nocturnes.
