***DA CAPTAIN TRIPS*** is an instrumental psychedelic rock band founded by three friends Peppo (bass), drummer Tommaso Villa and Riccardo Cavicchia (guitar) in Italy in 2009. The name is a tribute to the Stephen King saga 'The Dark Tower'. They shared the same passion for instrumental space music, based on infinite jam sessions, mostly influenced by all the psychedelic rock from the sixties and seventies.

In 2010 the first self-produced EP was released. At the end of 2011 the quartet was completed due to Bachis on synths. April 2013 then saw the release of the first full length album 'Anechoic Chamber Outcomes I'. In recent years they've also shared the stage with diverse bands all around Europe.
