Join us as we celebrate our new name and exciting new era at The Victoria Dalston! 🥳 We’ll have live music performances from queer funk punk quintet @widget.mp3, and queer DIY punk/indie-pop outfit @colourmewed 💞 as well as the opportunity for YOU to sing karaoke on stage with the Spark The Noise house band during Bandeoke! 🎤

All funds raised will be used to support our future music camps and programming - suggested donation amounts on the door are £3, £5 and £10 💸

“Queer funk punk darlings WIDGET are an East London supergroup comprised of members of Big Joanie, Junodef, all cats are beautiful and Zahra Haji Fath Ali Tehrani.

Sometimes nonsensical - often profound, their songs are heavily danceable and repeatedly listenable.

Wonky counterpoint guitar lines weave around each other over tightly locked funk grooves, reminiscent of The Slits, Talking Heads or ESG.

Their self-titled debut ep - out on Peach Records - is 5 tracks of self reflection and deprecation, niche throwbacks and hearty nods, subtle poetic flair and outright oddness. Uncle Buck, Flat Stanley, Myspace Tom, nothing is sacred for this peak millennial wildness in its final form.
