Description

As the XJAZZ! Festival 2025 draws to a close, we’re opening the doors to a warm, welcoming afternoon designed especially for families, young audiences and future jazz lovers. On Sunday, May 18, the Oberhafenkantine transforms into a colorful space filled with sound, creativity and joy - open to all from 2 PM.

The day kicks off with performances by three Berlin school bands, who will take the stage to share their music, energy and the joy of playing together. These young talents bring fresh sounds and heartfelt performances that embody the spirit of musical discovery.

Beyond the stage, there’s plenty for kids to explore: face painting, playful corners, and open space to move freely – making it easy for even the youngest visitors to experience the festival in their own way. It's a relaxed, curiosity-driven environment where families can feel at home.

And if you’re feeling hungry? A selection of food trucks will be on site throughout the afternoon, offering tasty treats for all ages.

To close the day, we welcome the Berliner JugendJazzOrchester to the main Festsaal stage. Their full concert promises a vibrant take on the classic big band sound – a true highlight for families and anyone eager to hear the next generation of jazz voices.

Tickets are just 10 euros for adults, while children and teens under 18 join for free.

We look forward to sharing this joyful final day of the festival with you – full of music, community, and space for everyone.
