The Lemonheads

It’s been more than a dozen and a half years, but well worth the wait. The Lemonheads have finished their first album of new material since 2006’s ‘The Lemonheads’.

‘Love Chant will be released in October 2025: Here Evan Dando rekindles the near-perfect pop for which his band is famed. “It’s really psychedelic and heavy and then quiet”, he explains, “and it’s all originals.” Put another way, ‘Love Chant’ is the mature phoenix that rises from the ashes of a long Lemonheads stretch that’s been riddled with rumours, sporadic live shows, covers albums, but also some much-praised re-issues. And did we mention it was completely recorded in Brazil? Formed in Boston in 1986, The Lemonheads continue to rotate around the inimitable Evan; eclectic music fan, writer of infectious power pop, and renowned trouble maker.
