Description
Urvashi is a new London-based collective inspired by the band's interest in rave culture, Indian, Arabic and traditional folk music from various other parts of the world. They combine existing and original melodies with their own interpretations of different grooves and rhythms, building on this with extensive improvisation. For their debut EP, Urvashi experiment with the concept of musical structure, attempting to create a free and spacious platform of expression for each musician, whilst developing their own musical language with which to explore as a unit. They are currently bridging toward the electronic rave world, merging their signature sound with techno and jungle beats, all played live. See you on the 19th June! X x
