Where Else? Present a free entry showcase of hardcore punk…
CELL ROT
Cell Rot (Oakland California) combines elements of hardcore punk, powerviolence, and anarcho peace punk. They once played a family pizza parlour and a customer told them they sounded like nightmare music. Lyrically, Cell Rot focuses on apocalyptic nihilism, anxiety attacks, existential dread, and the slow descent into death we all face. They have a whole record about a plant that decomposes a corpse and takes on all the person's knowledge of living.
Cell Rot has a new LP coming out on Convulse this Summer. Older records are all on the BANDCAMP. They’ve been a band since 2016. And currently share members with Urban Sprawl, Power Alone and The Puddle.
XUI
XUI (Vietnamese for 'bad luck') plays 80's inspired hardcore punk with lyrics about police brutality, toppling control, late-stage capitalism and the collapse of industrial society.
MISERABLE BASTARD
Reprobate and fetid death/grind spewn from the faeces encrusted gutters of Margate, UK. Tasting notes of Hardcore, Power Violence, Goregrind and Old School Death Metal.
