Taba Chake is a renowned Indian singer-songwriter, finger-style guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist from Arunachal Pradesh (India).
A true storyteller at heart, Taba writes and sings in a unique blend of languages — Nyishi ((Tribal dialect of Arunachal Pradesh, India), Hindi, Assamese, and English — making him the first artist from Arunachal to bring Nyishi-language music to global streaming platforms.
His genre-defying sound blends folk roots with indie and contemporary soul, resonating deeply with audiences across India and beyond.
Best known for soulful tracks like "Shaayad", "Walk With Me", and "Aao Chalein" from his breakout album Bombay Dreams, Taba has cemented his place as one of India's most compelling singer-songwriters. His latest milestone includes his debut as a music director in Shoojit Sircar’s feature film I Want To Talk (2024), where he wrote, composed, and sang the entire five-track soundtrack.
