Dress up for a red carpet screening of award-winning ‘Man To Man’ and the premiere of ‘Puzzled’ on Tuesday 15th July at 7pm!
My name is Joe Bernstein and I am a student of The BRIT School completing my fifth and final year! I have put together a night of cinematic mental health awareness culminating in the premiere of ‘Puzzled’, a film written by my fellow Bridge student, Noah John.
We will start with what partly inspired Noah and I to make this work happen, Selorm Adonu’s award-winning ‘Man To Man’: Dion, (Selorm Adonu), a young teen, gets beaten up at school. His father, (David Harewood), takes him to the boxing ring to teach him how to fight and defend himself.
After a post-film Q&A we will hear from the Mind in Croydon service users who have been supported by the charity’s wonderful work.
The final act of the night will include the premiere of ‘Puzzled’, a spoken word short film written by Noah John, directed by me and shot by Y13 FMP student Hari Coles. ‘Puzzled’ is a uniquely physical and poetic exploration of mental health entering the mind of Kamal as he has a discussion with his therapist.
All ticket proceeds and donations will go to Mind in Croydon supporting them to continue their vital work!
Presented by The BRIT School Limited.
