Atomiser presents
**Pumice** - Since the early 1990’s, Aotearoa / New Zealander, Stefan Neville has recorded and performed iconoclastic pieces of broken & repurposed pop song as Pumice. He delicately smears together droning NZ folk, jangly Pakeha blues, & scorched Pacific skiffle. Usually performed on multiple instruments at once, with a security blanket of grot & tape saturation through crumbling shitty speakers.
**Milkweed** - UK-based duo making experimental folk music steeped in myth, memory and the weight of inherited stories. Their latest record, Remscéla, is a haunting and expansive work rooted in the prelude tales of the Táin Bó Cúailnge, an epic of Irish mythology, filtered through the language of Thomas Kinsella’s 1969 translation. This is folk music not defined by genre but by method: fragmentary, reverent and radically interpretive.
**Curbside Lambsear** - Curbside Lambsear feels a bit like grit in the mouth and loves awkward poetry. Hear low sinewave humms and viola scratches over sample loops, collected from pretty much wherever. Often feels a bit sad, erratic and elated. Curbside Lambsear are Magdalena Mclean and Annabelle Mödlinger.
**\+ Roundabout Sound (*workshop*)** - Currently a sound and music workshop series, Roundabout Sound involves open-tuned instruments and live dub mixing, and is open to anyone who’d like to join.
