Daniel Drexler é um músico e compositor uruguaio que ao longo de mais de 30 anos de carreira foi distinguido com inúmeros prêmios e reconhecimentos nacionais e internacionais. Sua obra abrange nove discos e um livro onde analisa os processos criativos de suas composições. Com um pé em suas raízes regionais e outro no mundo, ele viaja na música pop com influências de gêneros folclóricos urbanos e rurais do Rio da Prata. Suas letras exploram o mundo da poesia, bem como o da ciência e da filosofia.

Sua obra se caracteriza pela criação de diferentes universos sonoros, conceituais e geográficos, onde as fronteiras são líquidas. Em "Vacío" (2006) mergulhou nas dúvidas existenciais e uniu a música uruguaia com a música pop. Com "Micromundo" (2010) percorreu os universos paralelos e a dialética macro e micro, a ideia de que o grande contém o pequeno e o pequeno imita o grande. Em "Mar Abierto" teve como referência criativa o álbum clássico de Miles Davis "Kind of Blue" e a "Modernidade líquida" de Bauman. Em "Um" (2017) ele explorou a ideia de que somos múltiplos e únicos ao mesmo tempo. Em "A voz da deusa Entropia" (2022), fascinado pelo conceito científico e filosófico de que o mundo tende à desordem, o artista personifica a conhecida lei da física em uma figura feminina e sagrada, que inspirou o caráter existencial do projeto

Daniel Drexler is a Uruguayan musician and composer who over more than 30 years of career has been distinguished with numerous national and international awards and recognitions. His work covers nine records and a book where he analyzes the creative processes of his compositions. With one foot in his regional roots and the other in the world, he travels in pop music with influences of urban and rural folk genres of the Rio da Prata. His lyrics explore the world of poetry, as well as that of science and philosophy.

His work is characterized by the creation of different sound, conceptual and geographical universes, where the borders are liquid. In "Vacío" (2006) he dived into existential doubts and united Uruguayan music with pop music. With "Micromundo" (2010) he traveled the parallel universes and the macro and micro dialectic, the idea that the great contains the small and the small imitates the great. In "Mar Abierto" he had as a creative reference Miles Davis' classic album "Kind of Blue" and Bauman's "Liquid Modernity". In "Um" (2017) he explored the idea that we are multiple and unique at the same time. In "The voice of the goddess Entropy" (2022), fascinated by the scientific and philosophical concept that the world tends to disorder, the artist personifies the well-known law of physics in a female and sacred figure, which inspired the existential character of the project
