Description

A hot invitation to @farsightgallery London Weds 30 July for a very special event to mark the publication of Ripped Backsides: Postcards from Beneath the Pavement (@farwestpress ).

‘Cabut, a former punk musician, cultural theorist, and long-time chronicler of subculture, writes with cinematic flair and poetic dislocation. The book takes its place somewhere between the streets and the spirit world... a ruined map.’’

Readings, author conversation with host Henry Wilkinson, editor of goth culture art mag @thisisdarkentries , and some really special guests.

The brilliant @saul.adamczewski , former creative force with The Fat White Family. We’re honoured – Saul’s last solo LP was the great The Coward, and his tours sell out.

And the Kenneth Anger Project – Faebhean Kwest (Cuddly Toys) and Rachel Marquissa Darq of @rocknrollcabaretsoho . They’ll play a song or two which, of note, Faebhean began in collaboration with Anger himself.

Also, the truly wicked DJ @less.than.human .

It’s all (disorderly) magic!

‘Ripped Backsides unfolds as part dream-diary, part psychic field manual, part poetic derive – charting a hallucinatory route through the urban subconscious.

‘Tijiana, Berlin, LA, Marseille etc: each city a portal into remembered lives, sublimated loves, aesthetic debris, and symbolic ghosts.’

In association with @dashthehengestore – the essential cultural and social hub. Pagan Sex Magick vibes forever.

Presented by Dash The Henge.
