Ensemble Nist-Nah is the incredible 8-piece hybrid Gamelan and percussion group led by Australian drummer Will Guthrie, who fuse Indonesian Gamelan traditions with free jazz, avant-garde and experimental music to create a unique, adventurous sound. The ensemble uses traditional instruments like gongs and met-allophones alongside modern percussion, drum kits and found objects.⁠

Their second album "Spilla" on Black Truffle Records presents 48 minutes of music for Gamelan, drum kits, wood and metal percussion instruments and plucked strings that will surely count as one of the most electrifying records you hear this year. At Strange Brew the ensemble consists of: Will Guthrie, Paula Escobar, Irina Leach, Marco Luparia, Sven Michel, Julien Ouvrard and Ellen Pelé.⁠⁠

Laura Phillips will open proceedings with phantasmagorical experiments of 16mm optical sound with EMF noises and oddball percussion exploring obsolescence, ideas of the commons & information infrastructures presented with 16mm film prints & field recordings.⁠
