Description

**Enjoy an eclectic evening of chamber jazz, cinematic post-classical pop and Senegalese influenced ambient jazz sounds.**

Music comes from melodic chamber jazz project Vega Trails, songwriter and composer Ambre Ciel, and Paradise Cinema, the project from saxophonist and flautist Jack Wyllie.

Vega Trails is the project of double-bassist and composer Milo Fitzpatrick (Portico Quartet), featuring saxophonist Jordan Smart (Mammal Hands). The performance celebrates their new album Sierra Tracks and features an expanded line-up with strings.

Ambre Ciel is a composer-songwriter from Montreal, whose sound draws inspiration from an array of contemporary classical, impressionist and minimalist artists. Ambre Ciel appears with a string quartet.

Jack Wyllie presents Paradise Cinema, a musical project from multi-instrumentalist Wyllie (Portico Quartet/Szun Waves), originally inspired by his time living in Senegal.

Gondwana Records is an independent record label, founded in Manchester in 2008 by trumpeter, composer and producer Matthew Halsall and his brother Daniel Halsall. Inspired by a love of deep spiritual jazz and UK club culture, Gondwana has become the home of trailblazing and progressive new artists, including Hania Rani, Svaneborg Kardyb, Vega Trails and Jasmine Myra.

The ticket price includes a £2 venue restoration levy.

Presented by Southbank Centre.
