Boulanger's wartime miniatures open an evening that moves from intimate to expansive: Robert Kahn's rarely-heard cello pieces sit alongside two pillars of Romantic chamber music. Dvořák's turbulent F minor Trio and Schumann's beloved Piano Quartet showcase the easy rapport of musicians who relish playing together.
