"*There’s a harrowing intensity to this portrayal of the haunted outcast, and the sound of the period piano underpins the clarity of Padmore’s keen reaction to the text. I think this is an outstanding Winterreise, one to live with for a while*." - **Andrew McGregor, BBC Radio 3 Record Review**
Tenor **Mark Padmore** and pianist **Noam Greenberg** present a special concert performance of Schubert’s song cycle, *Winterreise*, in support of **A Land for All**, a unique Israeli-Palestinian organisation, and **Clean Shelter**, a charity providing urgent sanitary and shelter solutions for the people in Gaza.
Through over a decade of direct talks between Palestinian and Israeli activists, *A Land for All* developed a unique vision for a peaceful future in Israel-Palestine based on equality, democracy and freedom for all people. Their vision of co-operation, instead of separation, respects the mutual desire of both Palestinians and Israelis for national self-determination while recognising the attachment of both peoples to the entire homeland.
The performance will be followed by a short talk with **Dr Rula Hardal** (Palestinian co-director of Land for All) and **Dr Adam Fagan** (professor of European politics at King’s College London), presenting some of the key ideas of **A Land for All**.
